Snow Fun!

Ian went to Sun valley this weekend and got his first taste of real snow! Mom and Dad got to enjoy some fabulous skiing, but when all the fun on the slopes was over Ian got to hang out and get his hands on his first set of ski's. He can't wait to get on the slopes, but has decided to wait until he can walk before he tries!

Party Boy!

Ian had a terrific day with a few neighbors around to help him celebrate his first birthday. Of course, cake was the order of the day but then it was time for a few beers (perhaps one too many for Ian!) so it was a good job Brianna was on hand! Happy Birthday, Son. We love you!

Birthday Weekend!

Yes, it's nearly one year! In fact, one year ago today Barbara spent the first of many nights in St.Lukes as the story unfolded around Ian's arrival. On Sunday we plan to celebrate Ian's birthday, though technically it is not until Monday. We will post a special birthday blog photo of Ian on Monday, no doubt surrounded by some of his birthday treats. In the meantime for tonights photo we see Ian with Barbara and Julie taken last weekend when Julie came to visit.

357 days old!
Yes, it is only 8 days to Ian's first birthday and we're planning to have some fun. Mom and Dad spent Saturday hanging out with Ian, since Dad was travelling all week and had missed his little boy. It's cold here in Boise this weekend, so all the good reason to stay in and watch some football. Come on you Patriots!

Gettin' into to Stuff!
We had to lower Ian's mattress into his crib this week as he's now grabbing at the top rail and peering over. We were certain he was planning some kind of grand excape, so 'down' he went! With that he's also now super fast on the floor. It's not quite a crawl per se, but more a fast dragging motion whereby he is pulling his lower body along. He's mastered the technique quite well but does tire quite quickly as it is not the most efficient method. Knowing our little boy he's probably fugured that out now too and is just riding out time so he can go straight to walking. Ian also stands quite well now when he is able to hold onto something. But yes, we do still get the occasional 'topple over' and tears!
